About the farm

The Pri Filetu farm stands on a hill next to the forest, with a magnificent view that stretches to the Adriatic Sea.

There are various animals in the stables, but guests normally come here to ride their beautiful Lipizzaner horses. There is nothing better for horse lovers than to choose their own finely bred Lipizzaner horse, saddle them, and ride off into the peaceful countryside. Two self-contained apartments are available at the farm, but if you prefer not to cook for yourself, the hosts will happily prepare meals for you.

All the vegetables, pork meat, dried meat products, brandies,Karst gin and plum brandy, both with geographic mark, are home-grown, and guests can look forward to traditionally prepared meals such as fried polenta with mushrooms, jota (barley and vegetable stew), and apple or cherry strudel topped off with a glass of brandy. Most of the activities on the farm are equestrian, and riding lessons or one-day riding trips are available, for example, to the Škocjan or Dimnica caves. The Lipica Stud Farm, Socerb Castle, and Mount Slavnik are all nearby, and guests can also gather medicinal herbs in the forest and the surrounding areas.
