Stuffed young kohlrabi
Kohlrabi is a gentle, easy to grow vegetable that grows throughout the year. It is used to prepare various soups and sauces. The stuffed kohlrabi takes a little more time to prepare, but it is worth every minute!
Ingredients to serve four:
•2 slices bread (or 1 whole bun)
•50 grams minced meat
•100 ml hot milk
•1 tablespoons oil
Peel and cook the young kohlrabi, then scrape a hole in each. Break slightly stale white bread and soak in hot milk. Chop the onion and sauté in oil. Add minced meat and salt. Sauté for a few minutes while stirring to break up the meat. Set aside to cool down. Add soaked bread, 1 egg, chopped parsley and salt to the meat. Mix together to bind the ingredients. Use the mixture to fill the hollowed kohlrabi. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Place in a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes at 190 °C. Serve with fresh salad.
